Transforming Lives

Grace House has been part of the community for over 30 years, and many people still think of us as just one house providing housing services. In reality, we are a full spectrum housing service provider for people who are homeless, impoverished, or housing insecure.

Every year, over 1,000 people statewide find themselves in need of assistance.

Homelessness is driven by systemic barriers such as poverty, health inequities, and limited access to affordable housing and care. Grace House responds by offering low-barrier housing and comprehensive supportive services that move people toward stability and self-sufficiency.

In MS, there are over 10,000 people diagnosed with HIV.

Because of stigma, many people delay or avoid seeking healthcare, which contributes to higher death rates among people living with HIV and AIDS in Mississippi compared to other regions. We work to combat stigma by educating people, helping them understand that HIV does not discriminate, and ensuring that individuals feel loved, accepted, and connected despite their medical diagnosis.

Our Mission

To serve impoverished Mississippians living with, affected by, or at higher risk of HIV/AIDS by providing and maintaining housing where clients may live with dignity, safety, and care; delivering all the support necessary to improve health and financial situation and reducing stigma through education.

You Can Help

We place people into housing every day, often directly out of homelessness. Because of that, we are always looking for beds, couches, tables, and other basic household items so people have a place to sleep, sit, and eat when they move in. Monetary donations are also extremely helpful, as they allow us to direct resources where the need is greatest at any given time.People can also donate furniture, clothing, food for our pantry, or their time as volunteers.
